About The Position

Utility Construction Apprentice is manual to semi-skilled work in the construction and repair of sewer lines. Work involves performing a variety of manual maintenance work related to the replacement or extension of existing sewer lines and the construction of new catch basins or manholes.

Requirements

• All positions require that the applicant be a resident of Wyandotte county or willing to relocate within (12) months from the date of hire.
• As a condition of employment all employees must pass a post offer physical examination and drug screen.
• And submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.
• High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (G.E.D) or, any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job such as those listed above
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of sewer lines, knowledge of basic methods, materials and equipment used in sewer construction and maintenance work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days of hiring.
