About The Position

The Omni San Diego Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Utility Attendant. This position assists in all areas of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to regularly lift up to 30 lbs. as well as regularly push/pull up to 50lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to bend, stoop and stretch regularly
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk for extended periods of a time
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule that will include weekends and holidays
  • Ability to communicate effectively in basic English
  • Maintain knowledge of overall hotel facility and various services
  • Ability to work with others in order to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner
  • Ability to complete any cleaning task in a safe manner, using appropriate chemicals and methods

Responsibilities

  • Strip and replace all pillows, blankets and bed linens
  • High dust – thoroughly clean the drapes, full window, every window sill, every picture frame etc.
  • Low dust – thoroughly clean all baseboards, edging around the room and under the armor
  • Pull beds and nightstands away from the walls in order to deep clean behind them
  • Flip and rotate mattresses quarterly
  • Detail all furniture – desk, armor, nightstands and all drawers
  • Replace coffee maker, TV remote, and collateral as needed
  • Detail the closet, cleaning top shelf, and safe
  • Inspect and replace hangers, iron, ironing board, and luggage racks as needed
  • Test and ensure that all equipment is in working order (lights, light switches, A/C, clock, outlets etc.)
  • Report any faulty equipment or necessary repairs, including necessary paint touch ups
  • Remove and replace shower curtains and all towels
  • Remove all items from bathroom shelves and deep clean all surfaces of the bathroom
  • Vacuum carpet thoroughly and call for Carpet Care when finished
  • Report and turn in any guest belongings to lost and found
  • Be familiar with the “Moments of Service” and Omni standards for the department
  • Greet all guests in a friendly manner
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
  • Perform turn down service when needed
  • Deliver guest items
  • Clean public space areas in accordance to the high Omni Hotels & Resorts' standards
  • Assist in all areas of the Housekeeping and Laundry department when needed
  • Complete and assist with side tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping leadership team
