About The Position

The objective of this position is to support branch operations by performing routine vehicle washing, equipment transportation, basic maintenance, and yard organization activities. This role may assist Service Technicians on an as-needed basis and requires maintaining a minimum of a Class B CDL. The individual will support the delivery, pickup, and movement of rental equipment between customers, vendors, and local branch locations. Candidates with prior experience delivering heavy construction equipment are strongly preferred, as they will be familiar with operating, loading, and unloading their own equipment. Equipment for this role will primarily consist of bucket trucks with a 60-foot capacity or less. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional early start times to accommodate delivery needs. Safety The incumbent recognizes that accident prevention is equal in importance with quality, delivery, and cost control. This position accepts responsibility for working safely, following all established safety policies, and actively promoting safety awareness among coworkers.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Class B CDL
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis
  • Frequent use of gloves and eye protection
  • Ability to operate manual and power tools
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks
  • Satisfactory company record, including attendance

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience delivering heavy construction or industrial equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Check rental equipment in and out as needed
  • Learn and understand basic equipment operations in order to review proper startup and shutdown procedures with customers during checkout
  • Deliver and pick up vehicles from customers and vendors
  • Transport equipment between branch locations as needed, including Channelview, La Porte, and Sulphur
  • Assist with loading and unloading of equipment
  • Clean, wash, and detail equipment using pressure washers and standard cleaning supplies
  • Maintain yard organization and overall cleanliness
  • Perform cleaning and sweep-up duties in the shop area
  • Assist Service Technicians with manual tasks as needed
  • Perform routine oiling and greasing of maintenance shop equipment
  • Support basic building maintenance as needed
  • Inspect safety equipment and request necessary repairs
  • Deliver and pick up parts, equipment, and supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
