About The Position

The Utility Application Specialist at Vermeer Midwest is responsible for enhancing customer experiences through product demonstrations, training, and support. This role requires a strong understanding of utility equipment and involves working closely with Territory Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and effective product usage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of higher education preferred.
• Two years of experience operating or repairing directional drilling and/or hydro vac equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain/maintain a Class 'A' CDL preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and customers.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet.

Responsibilities

• Plan a weekly schedule and track all contacts using the CRM database.
• Set up and operate utility equipment efficiently.
• Conduct classroom and on-the-job training for utility equipment.
• Assess and validate customer needs continuously.
• Collaborate with the sales team on best practices and market intelligence.
• Organize and perform equipment demonstrations for customers.
