About The Position

Riddle Village, a lifecare retirement community, is seeking Full-time and Part-time Utility Aides to join our dining department team. Riddle Village is considered retirement living at its finest. Requirements

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions in the English Language.
• Must be able to operate the dishwashing machine and any other equipment required to do the job.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, both individually and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand and walk short distances for most of the shift.
• Stooping, reaching for, pushing, lifting/carrying, and stacking supplies frequently.
• Must be able to withstand temperature changes when going in and out of refrigeration/freezer walk-ins.
• Strong customer service skills desired and an interest in working for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, pots, pans, glassware, and silver by hand or machine.
• Maintain the dishwasher, change the water, and clean frequently.
• Fill out dish temperature logs.
• Transport tableware to proper places in dining rooms and kitchen.
• Clean work areas.
• Assist in cutting, peeling, and washing fruits and vegetables for Cooks.
• Pushcarts into various dining areas.
• Set food on steam tables.
• Remove garbage from kitchen areas.
• Sweep, mop, and hose down floors thoroughly at the end of the evening shift.
