About The Position

Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Works under general supervision; digs ditches, back fills; moves materials and equipment by hand; loads and unloads trucks; assists in installing and dismantling equipment; frequently acts as helper to Service Mechanics or Meter Repair Mechanics; must understand purpose of and have ability to use standard tools such as wrenches, stock and dies, etc.; must be able to qualify for and acquire commercial driver's license; may from time to time be required to perform various routine operating duties.

Requirements

  • High school education or its equivalent.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of pipeline construction.
  • Minimum of three (3) months training for Utility B.
  • Minimum of six (6) to twelve (12) months training for Utility A.
  • Ability to perform heavy work such as running a compactor and jackhammer.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.
  • Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
  • Must reside within the service territory or within a twenty (20) mile radius from the assigned headquarters.
