About The Position

The Utility 2 – Wash Rack Technician is responsible for the wash rack activities and cleaning of the equipment. This role involves coordinating wash activities with production and maintenance teams, pressure washing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining wash rack equipment. The technician will also assist with routine inspections and minor repairs, ensuring compliance with safety policies and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating a wash rack cleaning heavy equipment preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required to drive company vehicles on property.
  • Current or prior MSHA part 48 training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate equipment wash activities with production and maintenance team members.
  • Pressure washing and cleaning the exterior of large and small equipment, as well as light vehicles.
  • Care and maintenance of all wash rack related equipment, including daily pre-op checks.
  • Moving heavy and light equipment to and from different areas as needed for maintenance and/or cleaning.
  • General housekeeping and upkeep of safety equipment, wash rack area, shop areas, and other areas as needed.
  • Assist all service team members with routine inspections, minor repairs, and general maintenance as directed.
  • Daily Reporting of units cleaned, inspection records and other documents as directed.
  • Safely operate a compact track loader to fill containment bunker.
  • Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
  • Keep work area clean, orderly and in a safe operating condition.
  • Complete daily work assignments in a timely fashion.
  • Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company safety policies, procedures and environmental regulations.
  • Actively participate in safety huddles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
