Requirements

• Must have demonstrated understanding of all operation positions, and be qualified to operate.
• Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Visual acuity to read and record weights and numbers.
• Must demonstrate the ability to measure steel tube, strip, quality specifications, accurately using various measurement tools.
• Forklift and crane certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to entire manufacturing line/operation, filling/staging material, testing product, filling in for breaks, vacations, or call-offs as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditions, near misses, all incidents.
• Assist employees with minor operational issues, clearing jams, changing tools, adjusting equipment, etc.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Shipping, Waste Water, Quality, and Safety to execute on actions or expectations.
• Support team in setups, operational checks, and complete product inspections for efficiency and quality.
• Must be able to successfully interact with MES stations and software to log downtime, capture information, consume material, submit work orders, etc.
• Train employees on any of the line equipment components, including crane or forklift operations, as assigned by the Supervisor.
