The primary objective of this position is to provide production and housekeeping support to operations, shipping, and grounds. This position may be required to train and work anywhere in the plant to cover for production absence as needed for plant continuity of operations. Here’s a brief outline of this role… Maintain housekeeping for the entire plant, including but not limited to, snow removal and sweeping. Indoor plant working conditions are impacted by seasons and the weather Conduct finished product audits and inventories as required Assist with stacking seconds and hand stacking bundles as required Operate sweeper and perform vehicle inspection Monitor wrapper quality and assist wrapper attendant when re-wrapping and re-stacking shingles Inspecting the quality of finished product Assist preparing seconds for storage and shipment Orders and maintains tools and supplies required to accomplish cleaning role Painting of the facility and equipment as required Assist in lace up for start-ups and after breaks, perform other misc. duties required by shift supervisor Perform other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by the supervisor Participate in safety and good housekeeping programs established in the plant Comply with all plants rules, safety regulations and corporate policies. Notify supervisor immediately of any accident, near miss accident or on-the-job injury when it occurs, no matter how insignificant it may seem Operate equipment only when trained in its use or working with or under the direction of a qualified employee/authorized to do so by your supervisor Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
