We are seeking an Utilities Specialist for our First Quality SE,LLC facility located in Anderson SC. The Utilities Specialist is r esponsible for safely executing all utilities functions/tasks in a consistent manner in compliance with established policies and procedures to ensure the daily integrity of chemical inventory accuracy, loading, unloading and housekeeping efforts of the Utilities operation.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work overtime and any shift/schedule assigned (current schedule is Mon – Fri)
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate fork trucks in a safely and efficiently.
  • Fundamental knowledge of general warehouse procedures and product codes.
  • Fundamental knowledge of PPE while handling chemicals.
  • Fundamental computer knowledge and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • SAP knowledge is desired

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for calculating accurate tallies and documentation during the loading and unloading of chemicals, and warehousing process.
  • Responsible for quality/customer satisfaction in regards to product integrity during the loading, unloading, and warehousing process.
  • Responsible for handling chemicals and preparing storing documentation and packaging requirements.
  • Responsible for receiving and inventory management through SAP.
  • Responsible for observing safety rules and always performing in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for being aware of situations requiring PPE and special safety precautions.
  • Responsible for inspecting equipment used on a shift basis and reports defects to Management.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the utility’s facilities.
  • Stores and handles the chemical materials in accordance with utility’s policies and procedures.
  • Supports paper machines with material requests.
  • Assists Inventory Specialist with conducting inventories when necessary.
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories on a daily basis.
  • Maintains an efficient product flow to the operating areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of raw starch material.
  • Responsible for loading starch cooking system and removing empty bags.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in the starch building.
  • Write workorders and follow up on status to keep starch system operating at peak performance.
  • Works with paper machine to ensure constant flow of starch as needed.
  • Attend outage planning meets with paper machine operations, essential to understand the needs of the paper machines.
  • Meetings to attend will be identified after the process starts up.
  • Responsible for process rounds on starch equipment to identify issues and communicate to the paper machines if process is having issues.
