About The Position

As a Utilities Plumber, you will use your superior maintenance and customer service skills to serve the needs of our campus community. Utilities & Energy Services (UES) includes over 200 staff members with varied backgrounds and interests. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • For Utilities Plumber: Three years of industrial or utility producing system experience.
  • For Senior Utilities Plumber: Five years of industrial or utility producing system experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • TCEQ Class D Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collection I and TCEQ Class D Water Operator within 6 months of employment for Utilities Plumber.
  • TCEQ Class C Wastewater Treatment or Wastewater Collection II and TCEQ Class C Water Operator within 6 months of employment for Senior Utilities Plumber.
  • For Utilities Plumber Assistant: 1 year of general plumbing or maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on large diameter size piping on campus main transmission water systems.
  • Maintain, repair and replace major piping of large diameter size on the campus main transmission water system.
  • Maintain water and sewer mains and service lines.
