About The Position

Blommer has been providing delicious, high quality chocolate and cocoa products to customers since 1939. Built as a family business, we are continuing to grow and are looking for motivated and reliable associates to help in our mission of Bringing Chocolate to Life! Available Shifts: Weekend Days Schedule : Saturday/Sunday 11a-11p & Monday/Tuesday 3p-11:30p ($19.38 base pay - weekend shifts are paid at 1.5x) Full Time - 40 hours worked in 4 shifts

Requirements

Able to follow clear instructions
Able to read and write English to perform tasks successfully
Skilled in applying mathematical reasoning to the measurements of ingredients for production purposes
Basic technology skills to record data into computer or electronic tablet
Continuous attention to details in performing all tasks
Comfortable working as an individual contributor as well as with a team, as required
Expected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues arise

Responsibilities

Dump Re-Melt
Dump identified re-melt into defined tank chute for reprocessing.
Dump Butter
Dump butter blocks into chute; ensure no foreign material falls in with product.
Break-down cardboard box, stack and take to compactor for recycling.
Sugar System
Ensure railcars and sugar trucks are unloaded in a safe and timely manner due to levels
Follow safety guidelines required under fall protection, trackmobile, and forklift operation
Safely move railcars and prep for rail company arrival
Plant Support
Required to learn different departments within the plant to provide additional coverage as needed
Report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the Supervisor
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
Ensure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; report any non-conformities
Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be needed
Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cycle
Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (maintaining clean work areas, etc.)
