We’re here to better our world with biology. In this role you'll make an impact by: Observing equipment and process performance and investigating and troubleshooting abnormal performance. Preparing and assuring materials are available for use in the utility equipment and activities. Operating and monitoring all utility and environmental equipment systems according to SOPs and sample testing plans. Operating the plant process control computers to control equipment and processes according to standard operation procedures. Taking utility and waste stream samples. Analyzing samples in the production laboratory and taking action based on the obtained results. Completing documentation as required (hard copy and electronic). Preparing maintenance notifications as needed, LOTO’ing equipment as needed, and assisting maintenance personnel as required to ensure timely repairs or inspection of equipment. Completing facility cleaning and GMP’s as outlined in area’s master cleaning schedule. Participating in continuous improvement activities and daily meetings.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent with demonstrated good Math/Arithmetic skills.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess good information technology skills on a user level.
  • Ability to acquire permits to use motorized forklift, scissor lift, air boom lift, etc.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and adhere to license restrictions.
  • Physical ability to push, kneel, squat, stoop, lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted, work in changing temperatures, adequately use PPE, work at heights, enter and work in a confined space, and wear a respirator.
