About The Position
The City of Fort Lauderdale employees possess a passion for public service demonstrated by a high degree of enthusiasm, self-reliance, and job proficiency. They effectively convey the vision and mission of the organization and provide excellent service and satisfaction to our internal and external customers. Oversees and performs skilled work in the repair and maintenance of water mains and sewers, stormwater system infrastructure, roadway infrastructure, and/or other work in connection with water and wastewater and stormwater systems. Installs and maintains swales in the Rights of Way, cleans city owned stormwater infrastructure, and performs stormwater infrastructure inspections. When assigned to Stormwater operations, the employee supervises and participates in a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, operation, and maintenance of stormwater and right-of-way systems.
