UTeach Equipment and Materials Manager
About The Position
The College of Natural Sciences (CNS) at the University of Texas at Austin strives to foster a work environment that enables all employees to contribute at the highest possible level to support the mission of the University. UTeach at UT Austin includes the innovative UTeach STEM teacher preparation program, a national expansion effort for that program, teacher professional development, and several local STEM education initiatives, all supporting the improvement of STEM education and the public education system overall. Purpose: Support UTeach Natural Sciences students and staff by managing chemical and equipment inventory, performing various lab preparations, organizational tasks and assist in maintaining UTeach computers. Requirements
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds.

- Pursuing a degree in Natural Sciences or Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Manage an extensive inventory of chemical, technological and miscellaneous equipment including adding new items to the inventory database, fulfilling requests for items, and tracking who takes items.
- Prepare equipment for projects.
- Review/revise chemical and biological waste documentation.
- Assist with project designs by recommending items in inventory.
- Manage software applications on multiple devices.
- Troubleshoot issues with the printer/copier located in the UTeach workroom.
- Ensure a clean work environment and educate our students and staff on workroom rules.
