About The Position

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking UT Level II (Immersion) Technicians (NDT) for full-time employment for our Brittmore, TX (Houston) Lab MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES: Candidate must be flexible and possess ability to work in Shop environment for a variety of industries such as Aerospace, FAA, Construction, Oils & Gas (manufacturing) and DoD.  A great opportunity for someone looking to be part of a growing team as well as high potential for future career advancement!  To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position. WORKING CONDITIONS: In-house lab/shop climate-controlled atmosphere. Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and clients. Working in plant and/or shop areas around other NDT inspection equipment and Forklifts moving parts around can cause elevated noise levels.

Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen due to contractual obligations
  • UT Level II (Immersion) Technician (900hrs)
  • The candidate must have experience or prior certification as an NDE Level II technician with adequate, documented experience hours (OJT) as required by ASNT-TC-1A Standard or NAS 410
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection

Nice To Haves

  • Shearwave experience
  • NAS 410 certification
  • Aerospace experience
  • Forging and Casting experience with UT
