The Institute for Public School Initiatives (IPSI) is a center within the College of Education at The University of Texas at Austin. IPSI supports the college's mission by preparing students to achieve their academic potential, helping students and families increase college awareness, readiness, and success, and providing educators and leadership with high-quality professional learning. This position is fixed-term, with an expected end date of September 30, 2026, and the possibility of renewal and extension based on funding and performance. The UT GEAR UP Industry Development and Educational Success (GUIDES 2025) Site Coordinator will help GEAR UP cohort students realize their dream of post-secondary education. Working alongside middle and high school staff, Coordinators will assist students with academic and college knowledge counseling, mentoring, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship applications. Coordinators will also plan and assist with college awareness activities at the school-level to meet UT GEAR UP GUIDES 2025 project objectives and goals. The UT GEAR UP GUIDES 2025 Site Coordinator will be located regionally in Aldine, TX, and will provide direct support to students, families, and educators in Aldine ISD. The position requires tact, diplomacy, and a strong commitment to service. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate creatively and effectively with others to solve problems and reach goals, and will also demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to listen carefully and to write and speak persuasively.
