About The Position

USVI Maintenance Supervisor (Based in St. Thomas, VI) JOB TITLE: USVI Maintenance Supervisor  Safety Assistance to the USVI Director ensuring that Safety, Security, Health Quality, and Environmental (HSEQ) expectations are met. Ensures that Safety tools (Stop Card, Near Misses, Safety Green Light, Live Saving Checks) are properly and continuously used at the terminal. Coordinates security services at the Terminal and reviews guard’s logs for night activities, as needed. Ensures compliance with environmental and federal requirements. Management Direct Supervision of USVI Operators. Ensures compliance with local labor laws. Helps coordinate and participate in routine emergency drills. Coordinate the preparation/update of emergency response plans. Serves as a member of Emergency Response Teams. Participate in project execution to provide technical feedback on the terminal. Controlling and monitoring of Operational Expenditures to comply with the approved budget for the period. Ensure employees are trained and an ongoing training plan is in place. Conducts contractor’s accreditation, evaluations, and training. Conduct security and Syncade training for contractors and drivers. Supports USVI Director when absent. Maintenance Ensure effectiveness of the maintenance program for the terminal Responsible for the completion of the inspection procedures are in place and followed. Supervise Maintenance of the terminal are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise. Monitor inventory of materials and equipment Monitor inventory of materials and equipment Plan, organize and control terminal maintenance program Document and keep up to date the maintenance platform, as instructed. Others: Responsible for ensuring compliance with MAESTRO’s principles, rules, and procedures, among others, related to the job holder area and/or department, along with the implementation of the defined actions plan as a result of audits, inspections, visits, etc. Work in shifts as per terminal operating time schedule (night and day, weekend, public holidays) Availability to support operational needs, which can require an update to the shift schedule frequently POSITION REQUIREMENTS The requirements for this position are as follows: Possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field, required. Possess a valid driver's license. Fluent English, Fluent Spanish. 3-5+ years’ experience in maintenance operation in the oil distribution industry or related field. Computer skills (SAP investment module, Access, Excel, Daisy). Good communication and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge and experience in retail network, commercial, and marketing activities, highly preferred. Good communication skills including supervision and interpersonal skills. Team Building skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Basic knowledge in Spanish, is preferred Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under minimum supervision.
