About The Position

We are seeking a User Support Software Specialist to support a large government contract. You will be required to have effective demonstration of new software features to the IOC Users and intelligence analysis when defects or issues are reported by the IOC Users.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or 3 years of additional work experience in replacement of educational requirements)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• 3+ years’ experience recruiting IOC sites in the VHA
• 3+ years’ experience developing and completing MOU packages for IOC VistA sites in the VA
• Experience with communicating and guiding the end users of newly available features in the software or system
• Experience with aiding and coaching software changes
• Experience with demonstrating new features and functionality real time of the application or system
• Ability to gather information of reported issues with new features and communicate findings to the development team
• Ability to conduct working sessions to show and guide the end user on how to use and navigate the new features introduced into the application or system
• Ability to develop power point presentations that can be utilized as training aids
• Ability to compile test scenarios and conduct exercises that demonstrate the new features of the system to the end users
• Ability to work without considerable direction or supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Executes functional support with end users for both Initial Operating Capability (IOC) Testing and IOC productions users
• Coordinates all VistA IOC testing and IOC production releases validation and ensures that all VistA patches are fully vetted prior to national deployments
• Recruits IOC sites and completes Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with VHA Medical Facilities that will participate during the IOC testing
• Applies advanced consulting skills and/or extensive technical expertise with full industry knowledge of VistA features
• Develops innovative solutions to discuss complex problems to end users
