About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Disassemble machines, identify and prepare components and parts for inventory; Assist with the direction and coordination of the warehouse activities in a manner that achieve standards of performance, security of parts inventories, and the maintenance of storage facilities and equipment, as well as maximizes service to customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Workflow Leadership Unload and load equipment and components efficiently and safely. D/A processes are done effectively, safely and within the time allotted. Strive to improved D/A techniques and procedures to improve job efficiencies. Sees that refurbished parts requirements are filled and delivered on time. All receiving, storing and distribution activities are carried out in a professional manner and are kept within safe warehousing procedures. Ensure all orders are processed for delivery or pick-up promptly and efficiently. Makes certain that all incoming parts are processed properly, loaded, and received into inventory. Sees that personnel in the work group are kept informed of changes in procedures and paper flow as it affects your part of the overall operation Maintains a professional businesslike manner and appearance. Assists in training new employees. Responsible for accurate warehousing of cores used for rebuild or to be returned to the supplier. Freight charges, both incoming and outgoing, are passed on to the customer accurately and in accordance with company policy. Returns goods are inspected warehoused and received into inventory.Inventory discrepancies are identified, reported and minimized Performs routine mechanical repair and assembly. Maintenance Maintains clean and orderly appearance of teardown space and warehouse. Maintains all Used Parts road vehicles, lift trucks serviced and washed according to company policy Load and unload freight efficiently, correctly, and safely. UNIQUE DEPT. DUTIES Flexibility to disassemble/assemble components, refurbish, clean, paint, scrap, warehouse, sell parts and perform clerical duties.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Graduate
  • Work Experience: Two years of related experience with at least one year of warehousing experience or related similar work experience with Gregory Poole Equipment Company; or at least two successful and stable years performing routine mechanical repair, assembly, loading and unloading machines.
  • Physical: Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb onto and underneath various equipment to perform disassembly and repair activities.
  • Must be able to effectively see to perform job duties, research technical manuals and develop written repair work order reports.
  • Must be able to handle parts up to 50 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoist for heavier components and parts.
  • Other: Field activities require a valid state driver’s license (to obtain within 30 days of hire a valid license within the state of GPEC’s operation) and possess a safe driving record, as outlined in our GPEC Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Some vehicles may require having or obtaining a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
  • Must have key boarding exposure and versatility.
  • Sufficient hand tools to satisfy the work requirements of Technician I.
