About The Position

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To coordinate disassembly activities with the Service Departments including the Specialization, Hydraulic and Cylinder shops to ensure they work together effectively. Coordinate daily warehouse activities to include the identification and preparation of components for inventory. Balance teardown cost against inventory value using GPAX Parts, Service and Inventory Control functions. Photograph and process inventory for GPAX, Ecommerce and Network listings. Assist with keeping parts inventories secure. Maintain the storage facilities and equipment to give the best overall customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Coordinate Used Parts processes with proficiency in GPAX Systems related to Used Parts processes in Parts, Service, and Inventory control management. Coordinate and schedule with the Used Parts Shop, Specialization Shop and the Washington Service Shop to have machines, components and parts inspected, disassembled, tested or rebuilt in preparation for sale. Coordinate with the Used Parts team to direct parts cost and inventory values within the market to ensure minimum monthly write-off. Coordinate the unloading and loading of equipment and components efficiently and safely. Identify used parts from tear-down shops and label for long term storage. Update used parts pricing in GPAX and other Network websites. Analyze sales and marketing data by interpreting results using a variety of Cat, GPEC and Network data to maintain competitive pricing. Upload Photos to Network Inventory and develop improvement processes. Collaborate with the Used Parts Networks, the GPEC Marketing and the Used Parts teams to assist in developing Used Parts E-commerce. Promptly process the Daily Cycle Bin Count in an accurate manner. Identify, report, and minimize inventory discrepancies, damages, and loss. Keep workgroup personnel informed of damaged missing inventory. Promptly process orders for delivery or pick-up and fulfill shop parts orders Approve all packaging and crating for shipping to ensure the items arrive or deliver in as shipped condition. Ensure freight charges are invoiced to the customer accurately and in accordance with company policy. Schedule daily and weekly warehouse workloads, job assignments. Coordinate receiving, storing and distribution activities in a professional manner that optimizes warehouse space with consideration being given to movement, weight, size and stocking levels. Process customer returns as received according to Sales Representative instructions. Coordinate standards for meeting deadlines on all assignments as requested by management in areas of departmental responsibility. Inform your work group of changes in paper flow as it affects your part of the overall operation. Assist in training new associates to his/her job role, safety awareness and other company standards. Coordinate with disassembly shops to provide used parts for component rebuilds. Maintenance Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, yard, and disassembly areas. Ensure safe operation and servicing of road vehicles and lift trucks. UNIQUE DEPT. DUTIES Must have knowledge of excel, word, and the ability to learn computer-based systems. Also have flexibility to oversee disassemble/assemble components, refurbish, clean, paint, scrap, warehouse, sell and perform clerical duties. Must be mechanically inclined and have good basic knowledge obtained through schooling or work experience. Capable of learning and understanding technical information, service manuals and reports. Ability to perform routine mechanical repair and assembly. These standards usually take up to two years schooling or direct work experience.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Graduate
  • Work Experience: Two years of related experience with at least one year of warehousing experience or related similar work experience with Gregory Poole Equipment Company; or at least four successful and stable years in warehousing activities with customer service exposure.
  • Physical: Must be able to periodically lift parts weighting up to 35 lbs.
  • Other: Must have knowledge of excel, word, and have the ability to learn computer-based systems.
