About The Position
TDR Auto Plaza is a dedicated used-vehicle reconditioning facility exclusively serving Gary Crossley Ford . Our team inspects, repairs, and prepares pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet the high standards expected by Gary Crossley Ford customers. We are growing and looking for skilled technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and a fast-paced workflow. As a Used Car Technician , you will perform mechanical inspections, diagnose issues, execute repairs, and help recondition vehicles for retail readiness. This is a key role in our recon pipeline and directly supports the success of Gary Crossley Ford’s pre-owned department.
Requirements
- 2+ years of automotive technician experience (dealership or used-car recon preferred).
- Strong diagnostic abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage repair tasks in a high-volume recon environment.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certifications preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform full mechanical inspections on incoming used vehicles.
- Diagnose engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical concerns.
- Complete required repairs and maintenance to bring vehicles to retail-ready condition.
- Document all findings and repair notes accurately.
- Work efficiently within established recon timelines and productivity goals.
- Communicate with recon managers and service advisors regarding required work.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
