The primary responsibility of the Used Car Buyer is to implement a structured process for prospecting, appraising, and making offers to current vehicle owners, with the ultimate goal of acquiring their vehicles from various sources for resale.

Requirements

All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.

Nice To Haves

At least 1-2+ years in automotive sales, dealership work or vehicle appraisal.
Great conversationalist!
Experience buying, selling or evaluating vehicles.
Sales and negotiation skills
Strong customer service and communication
Knowledge of vehicle values and condition appraisal
Organization and ability to use CRM/dealership software
Goal driven, competitive and organized.

Responsibilities

Responsible for calling, following up and scheduling appointments for customers to come in and appraise and purchase their used vehicles.
Utilize CRM for prospecting and lead generation.
Interface with current used vehicle owners from appointments set and dealership service drive with the purpose of purchasing their vehicle.
Approach, greet, and engage with dealership customers to appraise and offer to purchase their current vehicles.
Appraise used vehicles by asking questions, taking pictures of the vehicles, and inputting vehicle data into Sonic's automated inventory management system.
Work with Sales Managers to build and propose an offer to seller.
Introduces guest to sales department personnel to sell them a new vehicle after purchase of their existing vehicle.
Review monthly goals with management on vehicles purchased to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
