  • Acts as liaison between business end users and technical teams across the business.
  • Advises on any changes or actions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
  • Informs management of recurring issues or when additional team training may be required.
  • Performs complex analyses with actionable outcomes to support assigned analyses and projects.
  • Reviews and analyzes the financial and operational data specific to assigned analyses and projects.
  • Maintains a high level of data integrity and takes appropriate action to investigate potential data discrepancies.
  • Mentors team members on skills, best practices and concepts related to data analytics.
  • Prepares and reviews advanced charts, tables, and other exhibits for use in reports.
  • Prepares complex reports, statements, working papers, schedules and summaries supporting assigned business projects.
  • Assists management with financial planning, budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and ad hoc business analysis.
  • Researches, analyzes and explains current and past activity, expected trends, potential effect of change, supports findings and provides recommendations to clients.
  • Supports meetings that are integral to the success of the assigned project and analytical workload.
  • Learns the underlying data attributes, metrics and calculations and strives to become an expert of the data and metrics.
  • Explores new business initiatives through modeling of data.
  • Maintains competency in the various data repository systems used throughout the business.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert, provides extensive business and technical analysis based on client needs.
  • Interprets financial trends, identifies financial deviations from expected performance and reports financial results to various business units within the organization.
  • Develops data mining techniques and experiments to measure performance, manage the risk of key investments and improve predictive models to increase forecast accuracy.
  • Writes and executes advanced queries to extract data from source systems including SQL and python.
  • Validates data against source systems to ensure completeness and accuracy, and follows up on data issues to ensure resolution.
  • Performs complex and extensive Extract Transform Load (ETL) activities to modify datasets for analysis.
  • Leads collaboration with stakeholders to identify data analytics use cases that align with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Drives the development of use case documentation, including objectives, scope, success criteria, and implementation roadmap.
  • Drives collaboration between data scientists and engineers to translate use case requirements into technical specifications and data models.
  • Provides operational expert guidance to internal teams and business stakeholders on data analytics strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitors test performance and analyzes results using statistical techniques to identify significant insights and inform decision-making.
  • Develops and supports data science use cases.
  • Assists in training and developing team members to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to leadership.
  • Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in analytics or an analytical role required.
  • Experience using APT applications (Applied Predictive Technologies) preferred.
  • Experience working in relational and cloud databases to extract, move, and automate data pipelines for use in analytics projects preferred.
  • Experience with prompt engineering and use of generative AI tools for coding and analysis support preferred.
  • Experience with statistical data modeling principles, methods, and best practices preferred.

  • Starting Salary: $112,500
  • Salary Increases: Year 2 - $120,000 | Year 3 - $127,000
  • Eligible to participate in ALDI's Hybrid Work Program, allowing remote work up to 3 days per week.
