About The Position

The position drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining stock and inventory levels. Responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends, and community needs. The role models, enforces, and provides direction to Associates on proper customer service approaches and techniques to ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within company guidelines and standards. The position also oversees the implementation of community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as good members of the community. Compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center is essential, which involves analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, and overseeing safety operational and quality assurance reviews. The role includes providing supervision and development opportunities for Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensuring the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating customers, selecting products based on customer needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, maintaining confidential information, performing minor frame repairs, and maintaining optical equipment is also part of the job. The position requires building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected. Requirements

  • Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience OR 2 years' general work experience including 1 year's optical experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.
