About The Position
As a freight manager at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for managing freight deliveries through processing, identifying, counting, separating, and scanning freight. This includes operating computer software and basic applications to track and identify freight, unloading freight from trailers manually or with power equipment, and maintaining records, logs, and forms. You will also organize your work area by stacking and moving empty pallets using a pallet jack or power equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by checking the integrity of trailers and pallets. Communication with individuals or groups, both verbally and in writing, is essential, as is applying labels to the correct locations on freight and merchandise. Basic maintenance of receiving equipment will also be part of your duties.
