The Staff Software Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of software solutions for the AEDT-TechBridge team. This role demands a strong technical expertise combined with exceptional soft skills to drive innovation and facilitate seamless collaboration across various teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in driving innovation and be adept at cross-functional collaboration to achieve technical goals. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will participate in the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with a high-level design. Design, implement, and test complex code changes for specific business requirements. Analyzes business needs and develops plans to implement software requirement in conjunction with product management and architects. You will direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause) and directing actions as designated in the plan.

  • Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements, translating requirements into technical solutions, gathering requested information, writing, and developing code, and conducting unit testing.
  • Communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams and cross functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes, ensuring on-time delivery and hand-offs.
  • Interact with project manager to provide input on project plan.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, root cause), engaging support teams to assist in the resolution of issues.
  • Formulate action plans, performing actions as designated in the plan.
  • Interpret the results to determine further action, perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues and complete online documentation.
  • Provide support to the business by responding to users' questions, concerns, and issues (for example, technical feasibility, implementation strategies).
  • Facilitate resolutions and lead cross-functional partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Interaction by engaging with Walmart's engineering teams (cloud, platform, analytics, etc.) across geographies.
  • Leverage technical expertise and contribute to the engineering community.
  • 10+ years of experience in designing and developing highly scalable applications
  • Experience with authorization and authentication frameworks in implementing those into mobile and Web applications
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and optimize application performance
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns, distributed computing)
  • In-depth expertise in React, React Native, Python, Node. JS, Kafka
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Deep knowledge of DevOps principles and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation tools and observability tools
  • Experience building and deploying cloud-native applications on major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks
  • Develop service contracts for RESTful web services using industry standards like Swagger and OpenAPI.
