About The Position

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Requirements

• Valid state-issued driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs following company guidelines under the direct supervision of a qualified shop technician on Walmart equipment.
• Creates and processes work orders assessing maintenance and repair needs.
• Identifies needed parts and possible solutions, selecting the best possible solution.
• Conducts maintenance and repairs, including dismounting/installing tires, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, and replacing lights.
• Follows company and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and requirements.
• Seeks approval for maintenance and repairs performed by qualified shop technicians.
• Communicates with individuals or groups verbally and in writing.
• Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
• Receives fuel drops and conducts fuel sampling by monitoring the drop to ensure safety compliance.
• Follows procedures for fuel additives, monitoring tank levels before and after the drop, and collecting and preparing fuel samples for analysis and shipping.
