About The Position

The Professional Paid J1 Visa Internship Program at JW Marriott Savannah offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Culinary and Hospitality Operations. Interns will follow a structured training plan that exposes them to various aspects of food preparation and hotel operations, preparing them for successful careers in the industry. The program includes rotations through different areas and requires participants to obtain a J-1 Intern or Trainee visa.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a full-time university studying culinary arts, or be a recent graduate of culinary arts, or have 5 years of full-time work experience in the culinary arts field outside of the USA.
• Ability to pay associated program costs including a $4,000 program fee, $185 US Embassy appointment fee, and $220 U.S. SEVIS fee.
• Willingness to live in provided housing during the program.
• Effective communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Follow a unique training plan to gain exposure to all areas of Culinary and Hospitality Operations.
• Learn all aspects of food preparation and hotel operations.
• Understand the importance of structure, policies, procedures, and qualifications in the hospitality industry.
• Complete the program in its entirety and fulfill all physical requirements of the positions.
