The position involves monitoring dairy plant production processes such as milk receiving, separation, standardization, pasteurization, and batching by following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The role requires ensuring all paperwork is accurate, verifying charts including frequency, pen cut in/out temperatures, and product recording temperatures. The individual will troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties and communicate any problems or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production or food safety to management. Safety practices must be followed, including observing confined space safety guidelines, wearing required personal protection equipment, ensuring safe chemical handling, and maintaining sanitation of equipment. Continuous Improvement is supported by maintaining process data and equipment performance data to improve quality and throughput. The role also involves completing work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners, and complying with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
