Join our visionary People Technology engineering organization as a Principal Technical Program Manager, where you’ll lead high-impact programs, define technical strategy, and deliver foundational capabilities that empower millions of Walmart associates worldwide. As a Principal TPM, you will serve as a strategic leader and technical authority across multiple programs and platforms. You’ll drive enterprise-wide initiatives, influence architectural decisions, and ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the roadmap, guiding cross-functional teams, and delivering innovative solutions that elevate Walmart’s People Technology ecosystem.

  • Own the delivery of large-scale, cross-functional programs that span multiple business units and geographies.
  • Define program vision, success metrics, and execution strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure Workday and OpenStack solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with Walmart’s enterprise standards.
  • Influence senior leaders across HR, Tech, and Business functions.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and outcomes with clarity and confidence.
  • Guide the design, integration, and optimization of Time & Attendance.
  • Ensure robust data flows, system uptime, and compliance.
  • Coach Staff TPMs and other team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks across programs.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
  • Drive best practices in program tracking, issue resolution, and documentation using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
  • 10+ years of experience leading enterprise-scale technology programs, preferably within Walmart or similarly complex environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a track record of influencing across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced knowledge of program management tools and methodologies (Agile, SAFe, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring senior-level TPMs and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Growth mindset, with a passion for innovation, simplification, and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Certification in Project Management.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area and 4 years’ experience in product design.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
