About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations by processing member purchases, maintaining merchandise presentation, and assisting in the prescription fulfillment process. Requirements

  • Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age and certification.
  • Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification within 9 months of job entry.

Responsibilities

  • Process member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
  • Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies.
  • Handle claims and returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and resolve problems in the prescription fulfillment process.
  • Promote and maintain the Pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting in the prescription fulfillment process.
  • Provide patient/member service in the Pharmacy area by acknowledging member needs and assisting with prescription orders.
  • Enter prescription data into pharmacy software accurately.
  • Fill prescriptions by retrieving orders and measuring medications as needed.
  • Assist members during prescription pick-up by verifying and entering patient information.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers and co-workers.
