About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at Sam's Club is responsible for processing member purchases, maintaining merchandise presentation, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy policies and procedures. This role involves assisting pharmacists in the prescription fulfillment process, providing excellent customer service, and managing pharmacy operations effectively.

Requirements

• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, including minimum age and certification.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB or NHA within 9 months of job entry.

Responsibilities

• Processes member purchases by operating cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintains merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking and rotating merchandise and supplies.
• Handles claims and returns in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfillment process.
• Promotes and maintains the Pharmacy's professional reputation by assisting in the prescription fulfillment process.
• Provides patient/member service in the Pharmacy area by acknowledging member needs and assisting with prescription orders.
• Enters prescription data into pharmacy software accurately.
• Fills prescriptions by retrieving orders and preparing medications as needed.
• Assists members during prescription pick-up by verifying patient information and processing sales.
• Completes work assignments by collaborating with managers and co-workers and adapting to changes.
