About The Position
The Walmart Rx Manager operates the pharmacy with a focus on genuine care for the community and staff. This role requires a blend of strong clinical knowledge and business acumen, empowering the manager to work to the top of their license while ensuring high levels of patient care and developing strategies for growth. The ideal candidate will demonstrate autonomy, advocate for new initiatives, and lead by example, setting the tone for patient care and inspiring staff to elevate their service. The pharmacy environment is fast-paced, equipped with the necessary resources and technology to succeed, and relies heavily on the manager's ability to connect authentically with patients seeking trusted care from Walmart. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, which includes processing and accurately dispensing prescription orders, administering immunizations, and overseeing community outreach programs. You will drive sales and profit in the pharmacy and OTC areas by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, and maintaining inventory levels. Additionally, you will model and enforce customer service approaches, ensuring that customer needs and complaints are resolved within company guidelines. The Walmart Rx Manager will also ensure compliance with company and legal policies, analyze business metrics to improve performance, and develop talent within the team. This includes selecting, training, and mentoring associates, as well as providing performance feedback and recognition. The role requires a commitment to patient-centered care, community involvement, and a strong business mindset to analyze metrics and guide team standards.
