About The Position
As a Member Service Associate in the Optical area at Sam's Club, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our members. Your primary responsibility will be to acknowledge members as they enter the store, identify their needs, and assist them with their purchasing decisions. This includes locating merchandise, resolving any issues or concerns they may have, and promoting the various products and services offered by the company. You will be expected to maintain the presentation of merchandise by stocking items, setting up and cleaning product displays, organizing merchandise, and ensuring that damaged goods are removed from the sales floor. Additionally, you will be responsible for pricing merchandise appropriately and securing fragile and high-shrink items to prevent loss. In the Optical area, you will maintain the sales floor in accordance with company policies and procedures. This involves properly handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying any shrinkage or damages. You will also receive and stock merchandise, ensuring that the Optical area is organized and maintained according to company procedures. This includes utilizing equipment appropriately and completing necessary paperwork and logs. Your role will also involve operating hardware such as cash registers and related equipment to process member purchases. You will assist members with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, following the appropriate procedures for different membership and payment types. Selling Optical products and services will be a key part of your responsibilities, which includes assisting members with their purchasing decisions, measuring and adjusting frames and lenses, completing eyewear and contact lens orders, and verifying prescription information. You will also be responsible for collecting payments for doctor services and performing optometric pre-tests, recording the results as required.
