About The Position

The position promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. It leads process improvement tools and methods, such as 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, and time and motion studies, to eliminate quality losses and deviations in a Distribution Center according to the Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. The role involves compiling and submitting deviations to existing One Best Way playbooks and providing input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Additionally, it assists with the tactical deployment of the Quality Excellence WPS program methodology and manages project execution of top quality losses in the functional area while building the capability of other area managers and associates. The position also involves creating area quality loss profile analysis and performance metrics, developing gap analysis to support WPS integration, and leading quality-related savings projects within the area of responsibility. The role supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within the process area, delivering expected functional area results through KPI analysis and loss elimination. It also includes supervising and developing associates, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a culture of belonging and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3 years' experience in Quality or Process Improvement OR 5 years' experience in Engineering or Process Improvement with Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Demonstrated project ownership resulting in sustainable, long-term savings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building and implementing a Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge and application of a functioning Quality Management System elements including Statistical Process Control, FMEA, Quality KPIs, etc.
  • Quality Improvement experience in a Total Performance Management (or related program) environment.
