The position involves managing financial aspects for a medium to small facility, including approving and tracking expenses against budgets, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports. The role drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs, developing and communicating business plans and priorities, and removing barriers that impact performance. It also includes overseeing the relationship with the Transportation Command Center to respond to requests from the Emergency Operating Center, collaborating with distribution centers and transportation offices, and ensuring the continuous flow of freight during emergencies. The position provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, resolves escalated concerns, promotes company policies and values, and ensures business needs are met by evaluating ongoing effectiveness of plans and programs. Additionally, it directs continuous improvement of transportation efficiencies and supervises associates and leaders in the assigned area of responsibility.
