Join Walmart's AI Revolution in Last-Mile Delivery. In Walmart's Last-Mile Delivery team, we're building intelligent systems that combine real-time data, AI agents, and scalable platforms to power our delivery infrastructure. Spark Driver—our largest last-mile network—now spans all 50 states, reaches over 94% of U.S. households, and plays a pivotal role in Walmart's eCommerce growth by enabling fast, flexible, and cost-effective fulfillment. We are seeking a transformative Director of Agentic AI Automation to lead the evolution of our last-mile operations from a reactive state to a proactive, self-healing system. This role will define and execute the vision for agent-based automation that anticipates, prevents, and autonomously resolves disruptions—improving reliability and reducing manual intervention across Spark delivery operations. To start with, this will be an Individual Contributor role which can evolve into a team lead role in future.

  • Own the strategic vision for agentic automation across the last-mile delivery lifecycle.
  • Architect and oversee self-healing systems that proactively monitor, detect and resolve delivery exceptions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Ops to build and scale real-time automation agents.
  • Drive the roadmap for exception prediction, triage automation, and agent/human orchestration.
  • Define long-term goals for autonomy, speed-to-resolution, and exception avoidance.
  • 7+ years of experience leading automation, ML, or intelligent systems programs.
  • Deep understanding of last-mile operations, fulfillment systems, or marketplace logistics.
  • Experience working with engineering and data teams to build production AI systems.
  • Excellent communication and strategy development skills.
  • Proven leadership across large-scale, cross-functional programs.
  • 10+ years in platform or systems leadership roles, with at least 2 years in AI/agentic automation.
  • Background in exception handling frameworks, operational resiliency, or reliability.
  • Strong grasp of AI orchestration concepts (agent, human, and tooling integration).
  • Track record of delivering measurable gains in automation, speed, and ops efficiency.
  • Competitive pay and performance-based bonus awards.
  • Health benefits including medical, vision and dental coverage.
  • Financial benefits including 401(k), stock purchase and company-paid life insurance.
  • Paid time off benefits including PTO, parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting.
  • Short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement.
  • Live Better U education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates.
