About The Position

The Playwright Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications. The role requires solid experience with Playwright, strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, and an understanding of web application architecture, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs. The engineer will also need to be familiar with testing frameworks and methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum, and have experience with CICD tools and version control systems like Git and GitHub. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential for this position.

Requirements

  • Solid experience with Playwright for web application test automation.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
  • Understanding of web application architecture, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with CICD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

  • Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) testing.
  • Experience with JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
  • Create and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable automation frameworks.
  • Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing.
  • Execute automated tests and analyze results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Perform root cause analysis of failed tests and assist in debugging.
  • Contribute to test strategy and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test automation strategies and requirements.
  • Integrate automated tests into CICD pipelines.
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team meetings.
  • Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks and test suites.
  • Optimize test execution for speed, reliability, and coverage.
  • Contribute documentation of test cases, automation processes, and troubleshooting guides.
