About The Position

The Asset Protection Operations Coach at Walmart is responsible for driving sales through effective merchandise presentation and ensuring the security of assets. This role involves leading and developing teams, providing exceptional customer service, and implementing loss prevention strategies. The coach will also oversee safety programs, manage claims and receiving operations, and ensure compliance with company policies while fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.

Requirements

  • Completion of 2 years of college or 1 year's experience as a supervisor in a multi-department environment.
  • 1 year's experience in accounting, claims, inventory control, systems/UPC, personnel, or loss prevention/asset protection.
  • 2 years' experience in asset protection or a related area.
  • Successful completion of any applicable state requirements to work in asset protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership or Criminal Justice.
  • Certification in an asset protection related field (e.g., Loss Prevention Qualified).
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports.
  • Investigative experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation and securing high-shrink merchandise.
  • Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and providing feedback to associates.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, including hiring and mentoring.
  • Control unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability by setting performance goals.
  • Conduct investigations relating to company operations and policies, including fraud and criminal activities.
  • Monitor safety and risk controls within the facility and implement safety programs.
  • Manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support the company mission and values.
