About The Position

We are seeking a US Wellbeing Benefits Manager - Retirement Plans. This role focuses primarily on US-based retirement plans, working with colleagues and outside service providers to ensure our retirement benefits strategy and execution reflect the needs of AstraZeneca and our employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in finance or a related field.
  • 4 or more years of experience managing a large 401(k) plan.
  • Experience testing and implementing 401(k) changes in an HRIS.
  • In-depth knowledge of processes, procedures, and legal requirements pertaining to 401(k) plans, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
  • Ability to push through process improvements and efficiencies using AI or other means.
  • Strong people skills including collaboration, coaching, and influencing.
  • Experience managing cross-functional benefit plan projects in a public U.S. corporation.
  • Experience managing benefits related to merger and acquisition activities.
  • Ability to think, plan, communicate, collaborate and manage effectively in a fast-paced, globally serviced environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, Power Point, and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing complex retirement savings plans within a large organization.
  • Experience designing or administering health and welfare benefit plans.
  • Experience working with Fidelity.
  • CEBS certification.
  • Proficiency in Workday.
  • Advanced user of Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage 401(k) and non-qualified deferred compensation plans.
  • Ensure the 401(k) plans and non-qualified deferred compensation plans are administered efficiently externally and internally, and in accordance with the plan documents and legal requirements.
  • Manage plan documents and provider contracts pertaining to the 401(k) and non-qualified plans.
  • Work closely with internal resources on the implementation of 401(k) design changes in Workday and lead the corresponding UAT.
  • Monitor plan cost, design, & participation and ensure competitiveness within the industry.
  • Oversee and coordinate all required compliance matters such as reporting and disclosures.
  • Act as expert resource on plan administration, M&A diligence and integration, and plan functionality within Workday.
  • Drive communication and education strategy of retirement plans and write/edit communications.
  • Ensure program practices are consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Manage relationships with providers.
  • Coach teammates on retirement plan administration.
  • Contribute to or lead benefit projects pertaining to the US health and welfare space.
