About The Position

We are looking for a candidate to tap into the US sports audience and drive numbers through engaging content. The role involves producing multiple stories a day while actively pursuing exclusives and original pieces of content. You will use social media to share and aggregate stories, take on breaking news lines to get snaps live within minutes, and enter the newsroom armed with ideas to support the daily news agenda. The ideal candidate will buy into our tabloid DNA and the product we are bringing to the United States, working with a team of sports fans in a fast-paced environment that celebrates achievements and encourages pro-activeness. You should be comfortable working independently at times and be a dependable figure on the desk, with an awareness of our rivals and competition.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of US sports, including national, college, and high school levels
• Solid understanding of all sports, including the Premier League
• Ability to produce multiple articles daily while maintaining accuracy and standards
• Thrive under pressure and deliver breaking news quickly
• Identify newsworthy stories and present them aligned with the brand
• Ability to track and analyze audience numbers
• Self-starter attitude with a proactive approach
