Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
  • 4+ years of tax related work experience in public accounting firm and/or large multinational corporation.
  • Experience in accounting for income taxes, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools; experience working with large and dynamic data sets (PowerBI, PowerQuery) preferred.
  • Experience with OneSource Income Tax preferred.
  • High attention to details and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a challenging environment with high level of integrity, manage multiple priorities, work cross-functionally, and meet tight filing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships & collaborate with other members of the tax team.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred (or actively pursuing)

Responsibilities

  • Income Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare the Federal tax returns and supporting workpapers.
  • Calculate and file quarterly income tax estimates, and year-end extensions, ensuring payments are made by due dates.
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end income tax provisions in accordance with IFRS, including analyzing tax reserves, deferred tax assets and liabilities, state income taxes payable and required footnotes and disclosures.
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities in connection to notices and examinations
  • Keep abreast of tax law changes and perform technical research and analysis and apply tax laws to support tax positions related to the Company’s business transactions.
  • Tax Planning & Analysis Manage the US tax calendar and communicate deadlines to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
  • Conduct state tax planning/nexus analysis and apportionment calculations.
  • Participate in special projects as needed, including tax-related reports and analysis
  • Maintain and organize tax records and documentation
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement Assist with preparation of various portions federal income tax return as needed to include international aspects - BEAT, 5472s, 5471s, GILTI, FBARS, FDII, etc.
  • Support the worldwide tax provision function which includes preparation of book to tax differences, related supporting workpapers, tax account reconciliations, return to provision adjustments, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams including finance, accounting, and treasury to gather data needed to support income tax calculations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and manage risk.
