About The Position

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality output. This position is responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing team performance, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The supervisor will lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and operational excellence. They will also analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that optimize productivity and reduce costs. Ultimately, the role ensures that production goals are met on time while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental health and safety standards.
• Previous experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Certification in production or operations management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and quality standards.
• Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve performance targets and maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor production processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues promptly.
• Analyze production data and generate reports to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
