The position involves receiving coversheets and assigned carts for each series of orders, logging onto the voice system to begin the voice-directed picking process. The employee will move the cart through product bin aisles, picking the corresponding products from product bins and placing the correct product and quantity into the cart. Small items will be placed into bags or banded together for easier identification. The employee will verify products during the picking and packing processes, maintain daily individual production records, and return the cart to the staging area after completing the cart. The packing process includes verifying products selected for customer orders, selecting appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment, and ensuring quality packing procedures are followed. The employee will report any errors in product selection or quality and participate in special projects as required.
