Payroll Tax Lead The Opportunity Join Hitachi Energy as a Payroll Tax Lead, where your expertise will help ensure the financial integrity of a global organization powering the future of energy. In this role, you’ll manage payroll tax operations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, ensuring compliance and accuracy in every step. Requirements

• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in payroll tax management and compliance.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Skilled in payroll systems and tax reporting processes.
• Ability to perform audits and reconciliations with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll tax calculations, payments, and filings accurately and on time.
• Oversee preparation and submission of payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual filings.
• Review and improve payroll tax processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from employees, agencies, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead year-end activities, including W-2/W-2C processing and reconciliations.
• Maintain current knowledge of payroll tax laws and best practices.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other teams to ensure accurate payroll reporting.
• Prepare reconciliations of payroll tax accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
