The US Equity Analyst will be responsible for covering the Software & IT Services for the US Markets within the Equity Research Department. The ideal candidate will have experience researching and recommending equities within the industry, while demonstrating strong working knowledge of a substantial portion of the investment universe. The US Equity Analyst will partner with existing Portfolio Managers (PM’s) and serve as the industry expert for security selection across multiple portfolio mandates. This position will be located in Stamford, CT.

  • Based on fundamental research, formulate and recommend Software & IT equity investments.
  • Conduct research through collaboration with other sector analysts, regional teams, and portfolio managers.
  • Provide industry insight, company specific analysis, and actionable stock recommendations using expertise to positively impact performance.
  • Manage a real 'best ideas' sector portfolio of external institutional AUM that serves as a communication vehicle for ideas and trades to PM’s.
  • Construct and maintain financial models and forecasts to support analysis and investment recommendations.
  • Communicate and present primary research on investment opportunities, ideas, and updates to portfolio managers.
  • Develop and sustain frequent contact with management teams and industry sources utilizing company/industry publications, sell-side analysts, etc.
  • Participate in client/prospect/consultant reviews regarding investment and research processes and performance.
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a business-related discipline.
  • MBA/Masters, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an investment management organization preferably in the applicable asset class, or a financial services environment.
  • At least 5 years of investment experience, preferably within the assigned sector/region or asset class in either a research or portfolio management capacity.
  • Team player who is able to work collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities may change frequently.
  • Experience using Bloomberg.
