About The Position
The US Economic Research Analyst will focus primarily on analyzing macroeconomic data - with implications for growth, inflation and the labor market - forecasting, and following Federal Reserve and government policy. In this role, you are responsible for modeling/analysis, conducting research, contributing to research reports, and servicing institutional clients. Key tasks include providing rapid analysis of data releases for key economic indicators with thoughtful and concise written comments, developing and maintaining forecasting models (time series, panel and larger macro), monitoring and analyzing real-time comments from Federal Reserve officials and their market implications, supporting internal stakeholders (traders and sales) with data requests and commentary, assisting with and participating in client meetings, specializing and developing expertise in a specific sector of the U.S. economy, and assisting with publishing reports and updating key charts/tables.
