About The Position

Samaritan's Purse is seeking an associate to support various North American Ministries US Disaster Relief and Rebuild sites around the US. The program provides general exposure to relief scenarios, ministry and evangelistic outreach efforts, and the programs and operations of the ministry. This associate will work alongside seasoned staff and receive on-the-job training in various roles and positions on US Disaster and Rebuild sites. At Samaritans Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other and our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.

Requirements

• Suggested degrees of focus (but not required): disaster relief, construction management, diesel technology, electrical, plumbing, and other related degrees.
• A heart to serve and assist individuals who have been impacted by a disaster, in Jesus Name.
• Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal), and networking skills.
• Analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to develop and carry out plans and solve problems independently.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers.
• Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
• Participate on a team of volunteers, shadow program management staff, construction foreman, and construction worker roles.
• Learn about volunteer coordination.
• Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan's Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual.
• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
