About The Position

The US Demand Forecast Finance Manager at Apple plays a crucial role in supporting the financial health of the company's largest business units, particularly within the US Sales Channel. Requirements

  • 7+ years of Finance Experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; demand forecast or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative field.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Controller, Sales Directors, Route-to-Market Finance, WW Sales Finance, Sales Operations, Supply Demand Management, and Reseller Operations.
  • Analyze data and present findings in a clear, concise manner to communicate key take-aways in an executive style.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction for a team of analysts overseeing one or more Hero Lines of Business (LOBs).
  • Develop employees professionally and assist them in their career paths.
  • Produce executive presentations and emails shared with the CEO, CFO, and VPs.
  • Work with ambiguity while providing thoughtful analysis that challenges the status quo.
  • Build positive relationships with cross-functional teams including Sales, Reseller Operations, Supply Demand Management, Sales Operations, and Corporate Finance.
  • Conduct financial modeling, reporting, and market analysis, and prepare written and verbal presentations for senior management and executives.
  • Forecast and review forecasts for weekly sell-through, sell-in, and channel inventory by analyzing performance and assessing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Propose detailed revisions to current quarter forecasts on a weekly basis, explaining internal and external drivers and financial impact.
  • Quantify uplifts associated with promotional offers and size the non-promotional baseline demand for sales negotiations.
  • Build quarterly unit forecasts for future quarters and track business performance against them, understanding reasons for performance variances.
  • Understand the US business and strategy, analyzing how various factors affect current business trends for the US Channel, US Education, and US Enterprise businesses.
  • Become the subject matter authority on the consumer electronics industry, staying updated on competitor launches/promotions and service plan offerings.
  • Lead standard reporting and ad-hoc analysis by building scalable Excel models.
